This week we once again invite you and your loved ones to sit back and relax on the couch and watch a good, old movie with us - a Thursday Classic Movie. This week we have chosen the Danish classic FRØKEN APRIL, with Malene Schwartz and Ove Sprogøe.
The adorable nurse Ms. April is the object of most men's glances, but the man she is in love with does not care about her. It is the medical researcher Vagn Jochumsen who is so preoccupied with his basic research into a unique rejuvenating agent that he hardly notices April. When they are both sent on a research trip to Greece, there is a little better time to begin courting, but their romance seems to be off to a slow start.
The film is directed by director, producer, screenwriter and actor, Henning Bendtsen. He is the man behind several fantastic Danish classics such as JYDEKOMPAGNIET, PIGER I TRØJEN and the Christmas calendar JUL PÅ SLOTTET. In addition to FRØKEN APRIL, which is this week's Film Classic, you can also see two other of Henning Bendtsen's films at Kino Club, namely FAR LAVER SOVSEN and BUSSEN.
