The Danish film PIGEN I SØGELYSET (1959) offers wonderful nostalgia with popular actors such as Vivi Bak, Lily Broberg, Osvald Helmuth, Lone Hertz, Buster Larsen and Kjeld Petersen. The young Jonna (Vivi Bak), who is a saleswoman in a dress shop, almost by chance participates in a beauty contest. The competition results in Jonna being whirled into the film and show business with a bang, because sneaky commercial and film people think she's the next big star! Now a lot of quirky and funny scenes follow when Jonna's working family background collides with a hectic and (on the surface) glamorous showbiz world!
